Kite Festival & Easter

We all went to the National Kite Festival this weekend. Lawrence liked seeing all the colorful kites. Bubbles, however, were the biggest hit.

We also had an Easter party, with an Easter egg hunt. Lawrence liked finding the eggs and was even able to figure out how to put them in his basket. This morning the Easter bunny left a basket with some eggs dyed with BEETS!

We are super excited to see Grandma Roxanne, Aunt Brittany, and Uncle Reagan tomorrow  They are coming out for springbreak.  Grandpa David and Uncle Austin will be joining us at the end of the week.

Here are a few more pics from Lawrence's early birthday party, the LA trip and Julia's wedding.
An early birthday cupcake for Lawrence.

It's hard for a body this small to contain so much excitement.

Lawrence LOVES lemon cupcakes!

Lawrence, quite the little traveller, has now swum in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

He loved the sand and the waves.

Nicole was so excited to make it to Julia's Wedding

Behold the bubble!

We thought this was a really cool kite.

He really wanted to catch one.

He tried to blow some bubbles too.

Home Again.

Nicole and Lawrence made it home from LA safely. They really enjoyed seeing family and checking out the neat galleries.

We went bowling with some friends this week. Lawrence loved the music and all the colors.

Lawrence is taking little walking "trips." He can go about 6 steps before tripping.

We made a tie for Lawrence out of one of Clayton's old ties. Lawrence looks pretty grown up.

Clayton had a few more interviews this week and has a few more coming up.

LA Trip

Nicole and Lawrence travelled to LA this week to spend some time with Amanda and Barrett before going to Nicole's Cousin's wedding in Utah. Nicole and Lawrence played at the beach, went to art galleries, and went to some fun restaurants.

Clayton spent the week doing home work, yard work, and taxes.

Here are some pics from the trip.

Party in Philly

Lawrence had lots of fun traveling to Philadelphia this week. He went to see independence hall and the liberty bell. His favorite part of the trip was eating a Philly cheesesteak and swimming in the pool.

He loves spending time with aunt Mckell and grandma Natalie and grandpa Brian. We went to Arlington National Cemetery and saw the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknowns. We also went to the fish market on the waterfront and had mussels, crab cakes and crawfish for dinner. We also went to the temple and ate some Peruvian chicken at el pollo Kiki riki. Lawrence loved the chicken and yucca.

Lawrence has especially enjoyed napping on the hammock with grandpa. He received an early birthday present from his grandpa and grandma Preece. A new car seat. He likes being able to see out the window.

Lawrence and Nicole are looking forward to visiting Amanda and Barrett in LA next week.

Nicole made progress on her sculpture this week and found a new way to fill the cracks. Her hard work is paying off and soon she will be finished.

Here are also a few more pics from Lawrence's trip to Kentucky.

Spring Break

Spring break finally arrived. Lawrence will be traveling to Philadelphia to visit Grandpa Brian and may head up to New York for a day, if the weather is good. We all are looking forward to visiting the city and seeing family. Grandma Natalie and Aunt McKell are coming to visit on Thursday.

Nicole is super excited to begin illustrating a special ABC book for Lawrence. She is also battling her current sculpture; the sculpture is cracking while drying. She is also making progress in Russian.

Lawrence discovered that he can open lids. He loves opening boxes, chests and the toilet. He also loves playing in boxes. He can take a few steps now before crashing but only does it when he is trying to get to mom.

Clayton accepted a position on the editorial board of the Federal Communications Law Journal. He will be working as a Note Editor next year. He continues to look for a summer internship.
